Welcome to The Journey of Christine! I'm Christine and I was born and raised in Houston, Texas. I have an amazing son in high school, an adorable pup, and a handsome husband who was born in South Africa but moved to the United States when he was 6 years old.

I grew up playing competitive tennis (Stephen F. Austin State University) but that didn't stop me from falling in love with traveling and photography. For as long as I can remember, I took my camera everywhere with me, from tennis trips to family trips. And now, in my 30s, I still have a camera glued to my hands and still dreaming about my next trip.

I started this travel/photography blog in the fall of 2014 (under a different name) and after a year, I took a blogging hiatus (find out why here). After missing my creative outlet and all the friends I made along the way, I dusted off my blogging hat and in the beginning of 2017, I joined the blogosphere once again.

New around here? Here's a little about me!

I'm left-handed.
My favorite city in the world is London, Munich is a close second.
I'm terrified of heights.
Ever heard of trypophobia? Well, I have that as well.
I'm a total planner.
I'm a huge animal lover and had the most amazing time in Africa (where I also got engaged)!
On my mom's side of the family, I have 29 first cousins (76 if you include their spouses and children).
I have one brother who is in the United States Navy and is always on the move.
I really want to start making travel videos (regularly). Here is the video I made of our Africa trip!
I am not a huge fan of cruises, at least Caribbean ones, but would maybe do a river cruise in Europe.
I love my Canon EOS 70D and my favorite lens for travel photography is my Sigma 17-50mm f/2.8

Want to know anything else? Shoot me a message! I would love to hear from you!

Love, Christine
